When does your flat need a rethink?

  • A closed kitchen eating up space
  • Nowhere to store things
  • Corridors that waste floor area
  • Dark, narrow rooms

What a small flat renovation includes

  • A plan worked out to the centimetre

We study every metre and every window before touching a wall.

  • Fewer partitions, more space

We join the kitchen and living room or remove corridors that add nothing.

  • Pocket sliding doors

Doors that slide into the partition and take up no room when open.

  • Floor-to-ceiling storage

Built-in wardrobes and high cupboards that use every corner.

  • Light that opens up the space

Recessed spotlights, light colours and one continuous floor throughout.

  • Relocated services

Sockets and outlets placed to suit the new furniture.

Renovating a small flat in Vic: what we usually suggest

In areas such as Centre Històric and Les Adoberies it is common to find small flats in blocks from the 1960s to the 1980s, with a hallway, corridor and separate kitchen that swallow a lot of space. Removing the corridor and opening the kitchen to the dining area is usually the change people notice most.

In flats in areas such as El Remei, Montseny and La Guixa we start with the plan, trying several layouts until the bed, table, sofa and wardrobes fit without tight gaps. Then we build plasterboard partitions, which are thinner than brick and can house pocket sliding doors.

We work tidily in tight spaces, protect what is not being touched and leave the flat clean at the end. We also cover the surrounding areas: Gurb, Calldetenes and Santa Eugènia de Berga.

Frequently asked questions

01

Small flat renovation in Vic: which areas do you cover?

We work in Vic in areas such as Centre Històric, Les Adoberies, El Remei, Montseny, La Guixa, Caputxins, Santa Clara and Horta Vermella, and also nearby: Gurb, Calldetenes and Santa Eugènia de Berga.

02

Can the kitchen be opened up to the living room in a small flat?

Usually, yes. We check whether the wall is load-bearing, where the cooker hood can vent and where the outlets go, then propose an open kitchen that does not crowd the living area.

03

What makes a small flat feel bigger?

One continuous floor with no changes between rooms, sliding doors, light colours, recessed lighting and made-to-measure wardrobes that reach the ceiling.
