Ventilating a bathroom in Torroella de Montgrí: what we check first
In second homes in areas such as Torroella de Montgrí, Sobrestany and La Bolleria, the bathroom is closed up for long periods and smells musty when you get back. We fit fans that can run continuously at low speed and leave a gap under the door so air keeps moving when nobody is there.
In the bathrooms we ventilate in areas such as L'Estartit, Els Griells and Les Dunes, we pick the airflow by room volume and whether there is a shower, and look at the unit's noise level. We place it high up, as far from the door as possible, so the air sweeps the whole room.
After the visit you receive a detailed written quote setting out the duct route and the type of fan. We also ventilate bathrooms in nearby areas: L'Escala, Pals and Bellcaire d'Empordà.

Frequently asked questions
01Bathroom ventilation in Torroella de Montgrí: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Torroella de Montgrí, in areas such as Torroella de Montgrí, Sobrestany, La Bolleria, L'Estartit, Els Griells, Les Dunes, Mas Pinell and La Torre Gran, and also nearby: L'Escala, Pals and Bellcaire d'Empordà. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can the bathroom fan share the kitchen extract duct?
No. Each needs its own duct: sharing one lets cooking fumes and smells into the bathroom, and the CTE (DB HS 3) rules it out.
03Timer or humidity sensor: which is more suitable?
A timer is simple and enough for most bathrooms. A humidistat suits internal or heavily used bathrooms, as it only kicks in when there is steam.
04What if the building's shared shaft does not draw?
We check whether it is blocked or shared with other flats. Sometimes the right fan is enough; if not, we look at a dedicated outlet to the façade or light well.
