Replacing radiators in Torroella de Montgrí: how we approach it
Close to the sea, in areas such as Torroella de Montgrí, Sobrestany and La Bolleria, damp and salt air attack the bottom of radiators under windows and towel rails in bathrooms. We choose well-coated aluminium or treated steel and fix them with stainless screws.
For homes in areas such as L'Estartit, Els Griells and Les Dunes, we work out each radiator's output from room size, orientation and window area. That sets the number of sections or the panel size, so small rooms don't get huge radiators and the living room isn't left short.
On the visit we count the radiators, look at the boiler and pipes and give you a detailed written quote, radiator by radiator. We also replace radiators in nearby areas: L'Escala, Pals and Bellcaire d'Empordà.

02Can I replace the radiators without changing the boiler?
Yes. If the boiler works well, we only change the radiators and adapt the connections. We do check that the total output matches what the boiler can deliver.
03Which radiators work with a heat pump?
Low-temperature models or larger ones, because a heat pump sends cooler water around the system. At the visit we size each one.
04Does the wall need opening up?
Usually not: we reuse the existing connections. We only open the wall if a radiator moves or the new one has a different distance between tappings.
