What we check before cutting off a home's water
In 1960s to 80s town-centre flats we often find rusty galvanised iron and threaded joints that drip. We replace the whole network with multilayer pipe and fit isolation valves in the kitchen and bathrooms (mostly in Centre, Vallparadís and Antic Poble de Sant Pere).
So you are not without water longer than needed, we work in sections and leave the kitchen and one bathroom running at the end of each day. The final connection needs only a brief shut-off.
