In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Centre, Vallparadís and Antic Poble de Sant Pere the loft often goes unused, with an uninsulated roof letting in the winter cold. Insulating under the roof improves the whole house and turns that space into a habitable room.
Daylight transforms an attic: in homes in areas such as Ca n'Anglada, Torre-sana and Montserrat we fit roof windows in the slope with proper flashing kits, placed so you can open them and look out standing up. Where needed we add an external blind or awning.
