Before the parquet boxes are opened: what we measure
Town-centre flats in areas such as Centre, Vallparadís and Antic Poble de Sant Pere, mostly from the 1960s to 80s, often have terrazzo or well-worn strip parquet. Depending on its state we sand it or replace it, laying new wood over the terrazzo when it is sound.
For floating floors in homes in areas such as Ca n'Anglada, Torre-sana and Montserrat, the boards sit on an underlay with a vapour barrier and are left free around the edges. That gap is hidden under the skirting, with profiles at doorways so the wood can move without lifting.
During the visit we check the base and its moisture and talk through the format; you then receive a detailed written quote. We also fit parquet in nearby areas: Sabadell, Rubí and Castellar del Vallès.
