Frame, waste and boxing-in: how we handle it
In 1960s to 80s town-centre flats in areas such as Centre, Vallparadís and Antic Poble de Sant Pere, a floor-standing toilet usually has a vertical outlet into the floor. To switch to wall-hung, we run the waste to the wall with a new PVC section and connect it to the frame's bend.
For boxing-in in flats in areas such as Ca n'Anglada, Torre-sana and Montserrat, we use metal studs and moisture-resistant board and mark the exact flush-plate opening. The tiler can then cut to size and the access stays neat, never covered over.
