When a terrace leaks: what we check
In areas such as Les Delícies, Les Nogueres and El Paradís many houses and terraced homes have terraces over a garage or living space, where a leak shows up straight away. There we check the whole base and, where it makes sense, add thermal insulation under the floor.
For the finish in areas such as La Molassa, Vallvallida and La Vinya we choose outdoor porcelain tiles with the right slip-resistance class, laid on flexible adhesive. We leave perimeter and intermediate movement joints and finish skirtings and sills so water cannot get in at the edges.
After the visit and written quote, the site manager carries out a flood test before the floor goes down, and we clear all rubble when we finish. Nearby areas we also cover: El Masnou, Alella and Premià de Dalt.
