From closed kitchen to open-plan living
Flats from the 60s to the 80s are common in areas such as Les Delícies, Les Nogueres and El Paradís, usually with a separate kitchen and a corridor between it and the living room. Removing that stretch adds space to the living area and lets the kitchen share the light from the main facade.
In open kitchens in areas such as La Molassa, Vallvallida and La Vinya we split the lighting into circuits for the prep area, the bar and the living room: downlights over the worktop, pendants over the island and separate dimming for each zone.
