What we check before the first plank clicks in
Town-centre flats in areas such as Les Delícies, Les Nogueres and El Paradís, mostly from the 1960s to 80s, have period tiles or terrazzo that owners would rather not break up. Laminate goes on top with minimal extra height, and we only trim the doors that catch.
In houses and flats in areas such as La Molassa, Vallvallida and La Vinya the skirting is fixed to the wall, not the floor, so the laminate can expand. We use lacquered MDF or a board matching the planks, with mitred corners and sealed joints.
