From hood to duct: how we fit it
In 1960s to 80s blocks in areas such as Les Delícies, Les Nogueres and El Paradís, the kitchen often has a shared vertical duct or no direct outlet at all. We check the draught and diameter, and if there is no way outside we fit a recirculating hood with good charcoal filters.
In areas such as La Molassa, Vallvallida and La Vinya we hide the electrical connection behind the hood, with its own socket or junction box, and adjust the wall unit to fit if the hood is built in. Before leaving we test every speed, the light and the damper.
After the visit and written quote we protect units and worktops while we work and clear the drilling dust when we finish. We also cover the surrounding area: El Masnou, Alella and Premià de Dalt.
