What we check on a wall before replastering
Town-centre flats in areas such as Les Delícies, Les Nogueres and El Paradís are mostly from the 1960s to 80s, with hand-screeded gypsum walls that are sound but show ripples once painted in light colours. A full skim with fine filler usually sorts it out without hacking off.
The final skim on walls we work on in areas such as La Molassa, Vallvallida and La Vinya goes on in thin coats of fine filler, each sanded before the next. We check the finish with a lamp held close to the wall and seal it so the paint takes evenly everywhere.
