Replacing a railing in Sitges: what to bear in mind
In holiday flats and second homes, the terrace is the most used spot in summer and the most exposed to wind. We size the glass and clamps for that load and check the railing is still firm after months with nobody touching it (common in Centre, Poble Sec and Els Ametllers).
For glass balustrades we use laminated safety glass in a channel set into the floor or held by stainless steel clamps. Each panel is levelled and the channel sealed so terrace water does not sit inside it.

It depends on the existing fixings. If the base is sound, we reuse the same points or fix to the edge of the slab; if it is rusted or cracked, we repair it before fitting the new railing.
