From hood to duct: how we fit it
Close to the sea, in areas such as Montaltnou and Montalt Parc, salt air gets in through the wall outlet and corrodes metal grilles and dampers. We use aluminium or stainless terminals with self-closing louvres, so damp air stays out when the hood is off.
When an outlet has to be made in areas such as Supermaresme, El Rocar and La Ferrera, we core-drill the wall, fit a sleeve with a fall to the outside and finish with a grille and non-return damper. The hole is sealed inside and out so no rain gets in.
