What we change in a living room before the furniture goes in

In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Església, Ajuntament and Cavallers the living room often has a fireplace, beams or a double-height ceiling. We adapt the lighting to that height, check wall insulation and, where winters are cold, can prepare the floor for underfloor heating.

For TV walls in areas such as Sant Antoni, Montserrat and Diputació we build a plasterboard lining with reinforcement for the bracket, niches for the equipment and conduit from the socket to the screen. No cable is left on show.

While the work is under way we close off the living room with sheeting so dust does not reach the rest of the home, and hand it over clean, ready for the furniture. We renovate living rooms nearby too: Gelida, Subirats and Torrelavit.
