What changes with a new waste system
In houses and terraces in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell and El Veïnat there are bathrooms on several floors and the system runs down to a manhole or the sewer connection. We check every run, leave accessible manholes and, where winters are cold, bury outdoor runs deep enough to protect them.
The connection to the stack is the delicate part: in buildings in areas such as La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó we find cast iron, fibre cement or old PVC, and use the right adaptor for each. If the system has no venting, we add an air admittance valve.
With over 20 years of experience we can tell you on the visit which layout the fall allows, and set it out in a written quote. We also go out to nearby areas such as Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix.

Frequently asked questions
01Internal drainage renewal in Salt: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Salt, in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell, El Veïnat, La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, and also nearby: Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02What is a drum trap and why remove it?
It is a box, usually made of lead, under the bathroom floor that collects several waste pipes. It blocks and ends up giving off smells; today it is replaced by a trap on each fixture.
03Can I move the toilet or shower?
Yes, as long as there is enough fall to the soil stack. On the visit we measure the route and tell you which layout will work.
04How is this different from replacing drains?
Replacing a drain covers one specific fixture. Renewing the drainage replaces the whole internal system, from every fixture to the stack or manhole.
