Internal doors in flats and houses: what we consider
In houses and terraced homes in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell and El Veïnat, doors are often changed at the same time as the flooring. We wait until the new floor is down and trim each leaf so it neither rubs nor leaves a large gap underneath.
When we fit pocket doors in homes in areas such as La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, the cassette goes inside the partition with the track accessible for maintenance. We close the wall with board and leave the opening ready for painting.
A site manager plans the work door by door so you can keep using your home, and leaves everything tidy. After the visit, you get a written quote. Nearby areas we also cover: Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix.

Frequently asked questions
01Interior door installation in Salt: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Salt, in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell, El Veïnat, La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, and also nearby: Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can I replace just the door leaf and keep the frame?
If the frame is straight and in good condition, yes: we make a leaf to fit the opening. If it is out of true or the floor level changes, a complete door set is the sensible choice.
03Does replacing doors involve building work?
Usually not. The new frame is fixed to the subframe or wall and the architraves cover the joint; at most, a little paint touch-up is needed.
04Which doors keep out more noise?
Solid-core leaves with a seal in the frame. Hollow-core doors are light but let more sound through, so we keep them for rooms where privacy matters less.
