Pocket or exposed track: how we choose
In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell and El Veïnat, sliders are used to separate the kitchen from the dining room or the living room from the stairs, where heat escapes in winter. We fit brush seals and adjust the edges so the leaf closes as snugly as possible.
For bathrooms and bedrooms in areas such as La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó we fit a privacy lock with outside release, flush pulls and brush seals on the edges. The slider then closes discreetly and cuts more noise from the hallway.
For over 20 years we have carried out interior renovations: we see which system each wall allows and quote in writing. We also cover nearby areas such as Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix.

Frequently asked questions
01Sliding door installation in Salt: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Salt, in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell, El Veïnat, La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, and also nearby: Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can a pocket door go into an existing wall?
Yes. The wall is opened to the width of the door, the pocket frame goes in and it is closed with plasterboard. We first check whether any pipes or cables run through it.
03Pocket door or exposed track?
A pocket door disappears into the wall and leaves both sides free. An exposed track goes on the wall without opening it, but needs a stretch clear of furniture and sockets beside the opening.
04Does a sliding door block sound like a normal one?
A little less, as the leaf does not close against a frame. Brush seals and careful adjustment make the difference small; for bedrooms and bathrooms we factor it in when choosing the system.
