From hood to duct: how we fit it
In houses and terraced homes in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell and El Veïnat, the duct often goes out through the roof or an outside wall. We insulate the section that runs through cold spaces and fit a cowl or grille with a damper, so winter air does not blow in.
When an outlet has to be made in areas such as La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, we core-drill the wall, fit a sleeve with a fall to the outside and finish with a grille and non-return damper. The hole is sealed inside and out so no rain gets in.
After the visit and written quote we protect units and worktops while we work and clear the drilling dust when we finish. We also cover the surrounding area: Girona, Sant Gregori and Vilablareix.
