From old tiles to a clean splashback
In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Centre, Barri Vell and El Veïnat kitchens are larger and sometimes have block or exposed brick walls. We render or level the surface and, on outside walls, check there is no damp before tiling.
Behind the hob, in kitchens in areas such as La Massana, Barri dels Escriptors and Mas Masó, we recommend narrow joints with epoxy or high-performance grout, which does not absorb grease and wipes clean with a cloth. With thin porcelain or large-format tiles we keep the number of joints to a minimum.
