Replacing a railing in Sabadell: what to bear in mind
In houses and terraced homes in areas such as Centre, La Creu Alta and Gràcia, most requests are for indoor stair and mezzanine railings and garden handrails. We choose side or top fixing to suit the staircase, with timber or metal handrails that feel good in the hand.
For glass balustrades in areas such as Ca n'Oriac, Torreguitart and Can Deu we use laminated safety glass in a channel set into the floor or held by stainless steel clamps. Each panel is levelled and the channel sealed so terrace water does not sit inside it.
After the visit and written quote we install the railing with floors and façade protected, then push-test it before we leave. We also cover the surrounding area: Terrassa, Barberà del Vallès and Castellar del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Railing installation in Sabadell: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Sabadell, in areas such as Centre, La Creu Alta, Gràcia, Sant Oleguer, Ca n'Oriac, Torreguitart, Can Deu and La Plana del Pintor, and also nearby: Terrassa, Barberà del Vallès and Castellar del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02How high does a railing need to be?
The CTE sets the minimum height according to the drop and limits the gap between balusters so a child's head cannot pass through. At the visit we measure the drop and design the railing to those dimensions.
03Is a glass balustrade safe?
Yes, when it is made with laminated safety glass and properly fixed to the slab. If a pane breaks, the fragments stay bonded to the interlayer.
04Can a balcony railing be replaced without lifting the floor?
It depends on the existing fixings. If the base is sound, we reuse the same points or fix to the edge of the slab; if it is rusted or cracked, we repair it before fitting the new railing.
