Replacing or motorising shutters in Rubí
In 1960s to 80s flats the original PVC shutter with a pull strap and recessed winder is common. We replace it with foam-filled aluminium, which insulates better in winter, and seal the gaps around the box at the same time (frequent in Centre and Mercat).
We measure the width between rails, the height of the opening and the free space inside the box, because a thicker shutter than the old one may not roll up. With those measurements we order the slats to size, never by eye.
