How we repair a crack
During the visit we check the type of render, the direction and width of each crack and whether damp is getting in. The detailed written quote sets out which cracks will be repaired and with which system.
The team works from scaffolding, a platform or rope access depending on the height. We rake out and clean the cracks, seal them with a flexible material, add mesh where needed and reinstate the render.
When we finish, we apply paint or a water repellent, take down the equipment and leave the area clean.

01Are all façade cracks serious?
No. Most come from shrinkage or thermal movement in the render and are repaired with sealing and mesh. If we see diagonal cracks, cracks running through the wall or cracks that keep growing, we recommend having a surveyor check the structure first.
