What the drainage renewal includes
-
Planning the layout

-
Drum trap removed
We take out the lead drum trap and old pipes from under the floor.
-
New PVC system
Branch pipes sized and laid to the fall required by CTE DB HS 5.
-
A trap for every fixture
Basin, shower, bidet and sink each with its own odour seal.
-
Stack or manhole connection
A watertight joint to the building's soil stack or the house's manhole.
-
Water test
We run water through every fixture and check the joints before closing up.
How we renew the drainage
We visit the home and locate the soil stack, the drum trap and the route of every waste pipe. Based on the layout you want, we prepare a detailed written quote.
A site manager coordinates the sequence: lifting only the floor that is needed, removing the lead and old pipes, and fitting the new PVC system at the fall set by the CTE.
Before the floor is closed, we run water through every fixture and check each joint. The system is left ready for flooring and tiling.

Frequently asked questions
01What is a drum trap and why remove it?
It is a box, usually made of lead, under the bathroom floor that collects several waste pipes. It blocks and ends up giving off smells; today it is replaced by a trap on each fixture.
02Can I move the toilet or shower?
Yes, as long as there is enough fall to the soil stack. On the visit we measure the route and tell you which layout will work.
03How is this different from replacing drains?
Replacing a drain covers one specific fixture. Renewing the drainage replaces the whole internal system, from every fixture to the stack or manhole.
04How much does a complete renovation cost?
There is no single price. The estimate depends on the condition and size of the home, the scope of the project, materials and work required. Tell us your idea so we can assess your specific case.
05How long does a renovation take?
It depends on the type of home, the scope of the work and the project's constraints. Once we have studied the renovation, we can give you a more accurate estimate.
06Can a home be renovated while people still live in it?
It depends on the scope, estimated duration and condition of the home. When we study the project, we will assess whether it is feasible and what precautions or alternatives should be considered.
07How can I request an estimate?
Choose what you want to renovate, tell us whether the work is partial or complete, and leave your name, phone number and email. This lets us provide initial guidance. You can also write to us directly on WhatsApp.
