Pocket or exposed track: how we choose
In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Barri del Castell, Barri del Sant Crist and Barri de la Cisa, sliders are used to separate the kitchen from the dining room or the living room from the stairs, where heat escapes in winter. We fit brush seals and adjust the edges so the leaf closes as snugly as possible.
In areas such as Santa Anna, Tió and El Remei we fit exposed sliders on a track fixed to the wall with plugs suited to the substrate, and make sure the leaf overlaps the opening on both sides so no light shows. Stops and soft-close are adjusted last, with the leaf hung.
