From fixing point to handrail: how we approach it
In houses and terraced homes in areas such as Barri del Castell, Barri del Sant Crist and Barri de la Cisa, most requests are for indoor stair and mezzanine railings and garden handrails. We choose side or top fixing to suit the staircase, with timber or metal handrails that feel good in the hand.
For glass balustrades in areas such as Santa Anna, Tió and El Remei we use laminated safety glass in a channel set into the floor or held by stainless steel clamps. Each panel is levelled and the channel sealed so terrace water does not sit inside it.
