Drainage in Platja d'Aro: what lies under the floor
In holiday apartments in areas such as Platja d'Aro and Fenals traps dry out when the home is shut for months, and there is a drain smell on return. We fit traps with a good water seal on every fixture and, where the system has no venting, air admittance valves.
Before closing up, in homes in areas such as Castell d'Aro, Fenals d'Amunt and Vallvanera we run water through every fixture and check all the joints. Where pipes pass through a ceiling void above a neighbour, we wrap them in acoustic insulation so the water cannot be heard.
With over 20 years of experience we can tell you on the visit which layout the fall allows, and set it out in a written quote. We also go out to nearby areas such as Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Santa Cristina d'Aro and Calonge i Sant Antoni.

Frequently asked questions
01Internal drainage renewal in Platja d'Aro: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Platja d'Aro, in areas such as Platja d'Aro, Fenals, Castell d'Aro, Fenals d'Amunt, Vallvanera, S'Agaró and Mas Nou, and also nearby: Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Santa Cristina d'Aro and Calonge i Sant Antoni. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02What is a drum trap and why remove it?
It is a box, usually made of lead, under the bathroom floor that collects several waste pipes. It blocks and ends up giving off smells; today it is replaced by a trap on each fixture.
03Can I move the toilet or shower?
Yes, as long as there is enough fall to the soil stack. On the visit we measure the route and tell you which layout will work.
04How is this different from replacing drains?
Replacing a drain covers one specific fixture. Renewing the drainage replaces the whole internal system, from every fixture to the stack or manhole.
