Renovating a hallway in Palau-solità i Plegamans, metre by metre
Flats built between the 60s and the 80s, common in areas such as Palau-solità, Plegamans and El Castell, tend to have a narrow central hallway and doors at different heights. We swap those doors for aligned ones, hinged or sliding, and refit the frames square.
In areas such as Les Cases Noves, La Sagrera and Can Riera we lay the same flooring from the entrance hall to the bedrooms, match the level at every doorway and remove the thresholds that break up the route.
We have been renovating homes for over 20 years: one visit is enough to assess the hallway, and the detailed quote lists every item. We also cover the areas nearby: Mollet del Vallès, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda and Caldes de Montbui.

02How do you bring light into a windowless hallway?
With glazed doors or glass fanlights that borrow light from the rooms, pale walls, and spotlights or LED lines along its length.
03Can the hallway be reduced to enlarge the rooms?
Yes, where the partitions are not load-bearing. We study the layout and the route of the services, and show you how much space you gain before we start.
04Are sliding doors a good idea in a hallway?
They save space in narrow corridors. Pocket doors slide into the partition and leave the wall clear; surface-mounted ones need a stretch of free wall beside them.
