How we replace front doors in Palafrugell
In houses on residential estates and apartments in areas such as Pedró, Sauleda and Molí de Vent, the door may open onto a landing, a porch or straight onto the garden. We choose leaf, finish and seals to suit the exposure, and anchor the subframe into walls often built in block or hollow brick.
When we replace a door in areas such as Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu, the old frame usually leaves damage to plaster or tiles. We make good the surround, fit matching architraves and leave the reveal ready to paint, so the new door looks like part of the home.
Over 20 years in renovation: we leave the landing clean, with no trace of the old frame, and hand you a new set of keys. We also cover the surrounding areas: Mont-ras, Begur and Regencós.

Frequently asked questions
01Front door installation in Palafrugell: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Palafrugell, in areas such as Pedró, Sauleda, Molí de Vent, Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc, Tamariu, Llofriu and Santa Margarida, and also nearby: Mont-ras, Begur and Regencós. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02What is the difference between a security door and an armoured door?
A security door is timber with a steel sheet inside; an armoured door has a steel leaf and frame. The latter is far tougher, but heavier, and needs stronger fixing.
03Can the new door match the rest of the landing?
Yes. The outer face can be ordered in the same finish as the other doors in the building, and the inner face to suit your home.
04Can my current door be reinforced instead?
Sometimes, with a multi-point lock, security cylinder and escutcheon. If the leaf or frame is weak, replacing the whole door is the sensible option.
