Consumer unit replacement in flats and houses: what we check
In houses and terraced homes in areas such as Centre, Sant Bernat and Poble Sec, the earthing is often old or does not reach every circuit. We measure its resistance when we change the board and, if the reading is not right, suggest improving it with new earth rods.
In areas such as Les Planes, El Collet de Sant Joan and Els Closos, we split the board across several RCDs so a fault in the bathroom or kitchen does not cut power to the whole home. The fridge and router usually go on a separate group from the rest.
We visit, open your current board and give you a detailed written quote; a site manager coordinates the change and we agree the time of the power cut with you. We also work in nearby areas: Esparreguera, Abrera and Vacarisses.

01Consumer unit replacement in Olesa de Montserrat: which areas do you cover?
We work in Olesa de Montserrat in areas such as Centre, Sant Bernat, Poble Sec, Les Planes, El Collet de Sant Joan, Els Closos, Vilapou and Ribes Blaves, and also nearby: Esparreguera, Abrera and Vacarisses.
02Can the consumer unit be replaced without rewiring?
Yes, if the wiring is in good condition. We test its insulation first; if any circuit fails, we point it out in the quote so you can decide what to do with it.
03What does a surge protection device do?
It cuts the supply when a voltage spike arrives from the grid or a storm, protecting the fridge, boiler, computer and other connected equipment.
04Will I be without power during the work?
Only while the old unit is disconnected and the new one is connected. We agree the time of the cut with you and leave everything working before we go.
