In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Centre, Sant Bernat and Poble Sec the balcony often sits over the entrance or a room, so a leak shows at once on the ceiling below. We lift the flooring if needed, lay a waterproof membrane and re-form the fall towards the outside.

Water is behind almost all the damage: on balconies in areas such as Les Planes, El Collet de Sant Joan and Els Closos we give the floor a fall to the outside, lay waterproofing under the tiles and fit a drip edge so water falls clear of the façade and the balcony below.
