Before the parquet boxes are opened: what we measure
In houses and terraces in areas such as Centre, Sant Bernat and Poble Sec, with cold winters, parquet often goes over underfloor heating. We use thin, glued engineered boards and wait for the heating to complete its commissioning cycle before fitting.
For herringbone or chevron, increasingly requested in areas such as Les Planes, El Collet de Sant Joan and Els Closos, we set out the axes from the centre of the room so the pattern is symmetrical and cuts are spread along the edges. These blocks are always glued down.
