Underfloor heating in Mollet del Vallès: height, structure and equipment
In 1960s to 80s flats in town centres, in areas such as Centre, Estació de França and Estació del Nord, we usually install it when the whole floor is being replaced. We remove the old tiles and their bed, level the slab and so recover part of the height the system needs.
The system is adjusted to the floor finish chosen in homes in areas such as Plana Lledó and Can Borrell: ceramic and porcelain tiles conduct best, while wood or vinyl must be rated for underfloor heating. The first start-up is gradual, once the screed is dry.
A site manager coordinates removing the old floor, the installation and the screed pour, and we leave the base clean for the tiler. We also work nearby: Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Montcada i Reixac and Parets del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Underfloor heating installation in Mollet del Vallès: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Mollet del Vallès, in areas such as Centre, Estació de França, Estació del Nord, Plana Lledó, Can Borrell, Santa Rosa, Lourdes and Can Pantiquet, and also nearby: Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Montcada i Reixac and Parets del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02What floor height does it take up?
A standard system adds around 8–10 cm for insulation, pipe and screed, plus the floor finish. Where height is tight, low-profile systems take up much less.
03Which floor finishes can go on top?
Ceramic and porcelain tiles transfer heat most readily. Engineered wood or vinyl rated for underfloor heating also work, at the thickness the manufacturer specifies.
04What heats the water?
A heat pump, the most efficient match because both work at low temperature, or a condensing boiler. If the unit allows it, the floor can also provide gentle cooling in summer.
