Laminate flooring in Mataró: what we lay it over
Holiday lets in areas such as Centre, Eixample and Havana see heavy footfall, suitcases and sand. We recommend AC5 or a good-quality AC4, plus moisture-resistant MDF skirting that stands up to mopping.
In houses and flats in areas such as Rocafonda, El Palau and Escorxador the skirting is fixed to the wall, not the floor, so the laminate can expand. We use lacquered MDF or a board matching the planks, with mitred corners and sealed joints.
The site manager plans clearing the rooms in turn, and when we finish we vacuum and take away packaging and offcuts. We lay laminate in the surrounding areas too: Argentona, Cabrera de Mar and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres.

It shows wear resistance. AC4 is usually enough for a home; shops and busy areas are better with AC5.
