Where we apply microcement in Martorell

In 1960s to 1980s flats in areas such as La Vila, La Mina and Rosanes, bathrooms usually have period tiles that are still well bonded. That makes a good base: we clean it, fill the joints and apply the microcement on top without touching the plumbing.

In the bathrooms we renovate in areas such as El Pla, Camí Fondo and Buenos Aires, we start with the shower: we waterproof the tiled tray and corners with tape and membrane before the first coat of microcement, so water never reaches the substrate.

With over 20 years' experience in finishes, we protect furniture and doors, work tidily and clear up when we finish. Nearby areas we also cover: Sant Andreu de la Barca, Abrera and Castellbisbal.

Frequently asked questions

01

Microcement application in Martorell: which areas do you cover?

We work in Martorell in areas such as La Vila, La Mina, Rosanes, Pont del Diable, El Pla, Camí Fondo, Buenos Aires and Torrent de Llops, and also nearby: Sant Andreu de la Barca, Abrera and Castellbisbal.

02

Can microcement go over tiles?

Yes, as long as the tiles are firmly bonded. We fill the joints and apply primer and mesh, so there is no breaking out and no rubble.

03

Is microcement slippery in a shower?

It need not be. In wet areas we use a grainier finish and a non-slip sealer suitable for bare feet.

04

How do you look after it?

Water and a neutral soap, no bleach or abrasive products. Over time the varnish can be renewed without redoing the microcement.
