How we prepare walls before painting
In areas such as Dalt Vila and Baix Vila most flats date from the 1960s to the 80s, with gotelé, distemper or dark colours that need covering. Where needed we skim the walls before painting, so the light does not pick out every bump.
When we paint in areas such as Eixample, L'Erm and Gràcia we start with the ceilings and move on to the walls, cutting in by hand around skirting boards, frames and sockets. We only use tape where it is needed and peel it off while the paint is still wet for a clean edge.
