What we look at before the first tile goes down
In areas such as Nucli antic, Barri de Dalt and La Doma, where frost is not unusual, terrace and entrance floors suffer from freezing. We choose low-absorption porcelain rated for outdoor use and an adhesive that copes with temperature swings.
With large formats, increasingly requested in areas such as Barri de Montserrat, Barri Querol and Can Terrers, adhesive goes on both the floor and the back of the tile, and we use levelling clips. That leaves no voids underneath and no lipping between neighbouring tiles.
During the visit we look at the tile, measure the area and check the base, then give you a detailed written quote. We also lay porcelain in nearby areas: L'Ametlla del Vallès, Les Franqueses del Vallès and Figaró-Montmany.

Frequently asked questions
01Porcelain floor tiling in La Garriga: which areas do you cover?
We work in La Garriga in areas such as Nucli antic, Barri de Dalt, La Doma, Barri de Montserrat, Barri Querol and Can Terrers, and also nearby: L'Ametlla del Vallès, Les Franqueses del Vallès and Figaró-Montmany.
02Can porcelain go over the old floor?
Often, yes, if the current floor is solid and flat. Door heights and thresholds with other rooms need checking, and we look at both during the visit.
03What does large-format porcelain need?
A very flat base, double-spread adhesive and levelling clips. Big tiles mean fewer joints, but the setting out and cutting have to be more precise.
04Can the same tile run from the living room to the terrace?
Only if the range has an outdoor non-slip version with the slip rating the CTE requires. Many collections offer both, so the floor can flow outside.
