Terraces in L'Escala: what we usually find
On estates and apartment blocks in areas such as Nucli antic, Poble Sec and Les Terroges terraces take heavy rain in a short time. We size outlets and overflows for that flow and choose non-slip tiles that stay safe in damp sea air.
On the terraces we renovate in areas such as Riells, La Clota and Muntanya de Montgó we strip the flooring down to the slab to see the real condition of the base. We then form falls of 1 to 5 % towards the outlets, as the CTE sets out, so no puddles remain.
We inspect the terrace and the flat below, give you a detailed written quote, and a site manager follows each stage through to a clean finish. We also renovate terraces in nearby areas: Torroella de Montgrí, Sant Pere Pescador and Viladamat.

Frequently asked questions
01Terrace renovation in L'Escala: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in L'Escala, in areas such as Nucli antic, Poble Sec, Les Terroges, Riells, La Clota, Muntanya de Montgó, Sant Martí d'Empúries and Les Corts, and also nearby: Torroella de Montgrí, Sant Pere Pescador and Viladamat. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Does the floor have to come up to fix a leak?
Almost always. The leak is usually in the waterproofing or at an outlet, under the tiles. Adding another layer on top without checking the substrate only postpones the problem.
03Which flooring is right for an outdoor terrace?
Non-slip outdoor porcelain that resists frost and temperature changes, laid with flexible adhesive and movement joints.
04Can a terrace be waterproofed without replacing the tiles?
Clear membranes and coatings applied over the tiles work where the falls and outlets are in good order. On the visit we assess whether that is enough or the substrate needs rebuilding.
