How we build a plasterboard partition
During the visit we measure the room and look at natural light, services and where the door would go. With the measurements and the type of partition chosen, we draw up a detailed written quote.
We set out the partition, fix the tracks and studs, run the cables and back boxes and fill the cavity with mineral wool. Next we screw on the boards and tape the joints.
We finish with two coats of filler on joints and screws, sand down and leave the partition clean and ready to paint.

Frequently asked questions
01Does a plasterboard partition block noise?
Yes, if it is designed for it: mineral wool inside, double boards on each side and acoustic strips where it meets the floor and ceiling. We specify it according to the noise you want to keep out.
02Can I hang units or a TV on plasterboard?
Yes. We fit timber noggins or extra studs inside the wall where heavy units will go, and use plasterboard fixings for everything else.
03Is plasterboard suitable for a bathroom or kitchen?
Yes, with moisture-resistant board (the green one) in wet areas and, in the shower, waterproofing under the tiles.
04How much does a complete renovation cost?
There is no single price. The estimate depends on the condition and size of the home, the scope of the project, materials and work required. Tell us your idea so we can assess your specific case.
05How long does a renovation take?
It depends on the type of home, the scope of the work and the project's constraints. Once we have studied the renovation, we can give you a more accurate estimate.
06Can a home be renovated while people still live in it?
It depends on the scope, estimated duration and condition of the home. When we study the project, we will assess whether it is feasible and what precautions or alternatives should be considered.
07How can I request an estimate?
Choose what you want to renovate, tell us whether the work is partial or complete, and leave your name, phone number and email. This lets us provide initial guidance. You can also write to us directly on WhatsApp.
