How we tile a bathroom in Granollers
In 1960s–80s flats in areas such as Centre and Sant Miquel the original tiles are often firmly fixed but very dated. If the wall is flat and the tiles sound, we can tile over them with a suitable adhesive; if they sound hollow, we take them all off.
In the shower area of bathrooms in areas such as Congost, Granollers Nord and Primer de Maig we waterproof with a liquid membrane or sheet, with tape at the corners and around taps and drain. Niches are lined with the same tiles and given a slight fall so they do not hold water.
We come to see the bathroom, measure the surfaces and look at the tiles you like; you then receive a detailed written quote, and at the end we clean off adhesive and dust. We also tile bathrooms in nearby areas: Les Franqueses del Vallès, Canovelles and La Roca del Vallès.

01Bathroom tiling in Granollers: which areas do you cover?
We work in Granollers in areas such as Centre, Sant Miquel, Congost, Granollers Nord, Primer de Maig, Can Gili, Can Bassa and Tres Torres, and also nearby: Les Franqueses del Vallès, Canovelles and La Roca del Vallès.
02Can new tiles go over the old ones?
Sometimes, if the old tiles are firmly bonded and flat, using an adhesive for tile-on-tile. Bear in mind you lose a little space and the edges around doors and windows change.
03Do large-format tiles work in a small bathroom?
Yes, and they often help: fewer grout lines make the room feel bigger. They just need very flat walls and careful setting out of the cuts.
