What changes when we renovate a bathroom in Girona
In 1960s–80s flats in areas such as Barri Vell and Mercadal the bathroom often still has its original bath, small period tiles and galvanised pipes buried in the wall. We replace all the bathroom pipework and, where the flat allows it, gain space with a level-access shower.
On bathroom jobs in areas such as Eixample, Sant Narcís and Montilivi we also renew the electrics: a dedicated circuit, sealed light fittings over the shower and sockets kept clear of water in line with the REBT. We fit an extractor fan ducted to the shaft or to the outside wall to clear the steam.
