Drains in El Prat de Llobregat: what we find under the sinks
In houses on residential estates in areas such as Centre and Eixample Sud, the drain runs for metres under the ground floor to an inspection chamber in the garden, and over time it loses its fall. We open access points to see the run and replace any sections that have sunk or let roots in.
If the basin gurgles when the bath empties, the problem is usually venting. In homes in areas such as Sant Cosme, Sant Jordi - Ribera Baixa and La Granja, we give each fixture its own trap and, where the stack is poorly vented, add an air admittance valve hidden inside a unit.
After the visit you get a written quote listing each drain to be replaced, and the site manager coordinates plumber and builder if the floor has to be opened. We also replace drains nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat and Sant Boi de Llobregat.

02Is unblocking enough, or does the drain need replacing?
If the pipe is old, has too little fall or is misshapen, the blockage comes back. On the visit we check the section and tell you whether it is worth replacing.
03Does the bathroom floor have to come up?
It depends on where the drain runs. It can often be replaced from the unit or an access panel; if it runs under the floor, we say so in the quote.
