What we check before renovating a house

In areas such as Corbera de Baix and Corbera de Dalt, where winters are cold, renovating a house starts with insulation: façade, roof and windows. Once the envelope is sorted, we look at underfloor heating or an air-source heat pump to heat the house using less energy.

In areas such as Bonrepòs, Ca n'Armengol and Can Planes we usually finish outside: garage, porch, terraces and paths with non-slip paving. Before that we inspect the underground drainage and rainwater pipes, which in older houses are often blocked or broken.
