Shower waterproofing in Cerdanyola del Vallès.
In Cerdanyola del Vallès we repair leaking showers without refitting the whole bathroom: we open up only the shower area and leave it watertight, with a new tray or tiles.

What shower waterproofing includes
-
Source of the leak
We find out whether water escapes through grout, waste or pipework before opening up.
-
Opening up the area
We lift the tray and shower tiles, leaving the rest of the bathroom alone.
-
Falls to the drain
We rebuild the base so water runs to the waste and never sits.
-
Continuous membrane
Membrane across floor and walls, with tape at corners, pipes and drain.
-
Flood test
We flood the base and check for any loss before closing it up.
-
New finish
Tray or tiles laid on top, with epoxy or mould-resistant grout.
Waterproofing a shower in Cerdanyola del Vallès, step by step
In detached and terraced houses in areas such as Centre, Serraparera and Fontetes the upstairs shower often sits above the living room or kitchen, so a leak shows up quickly on the plaster ceiling. We also check where pipes pass through the floor, a spot that is often left unsealed.
When the leak comes only from the joints, in homes in areas such as Banús, Turonet and Guiera it can be enough to rake out the grout, seal with a waterproofing product and regrout in epoxy. We decide that only after a water test shows the membrane underneath is intact.
We look at the shower and the neighbour's stain, explain the cause and send a detailed written quote; a site manager coordinates the repair. We also work nearby: Sabadell, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Ripollet.

Frequently asked questions
01Shower waterproofing in Cerdanyola del Vallès: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Cerdanyola del Vallès, in areas such as Centre, Serraparera, Fontetes, Canaletes, Banús, Turonet, Guiera and Can Xarau, and also nearby: Sabadell, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Ripollet. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Is replacing the grout enough to stop the leak?
Only if the grout is the problem and the membrane underneath is sound. If water has already reached the floor slab, the shower has to be lifted and waterproofed again.
03What is a flood test?
We plug the drain and fill the waterproofed base with water. If the level holds and no damp appears below, the finish can go on.
04Does a tiled walk-in shower need more care than one with a tray?
Yes. Without a tray, the membrane and falls are all that hold the water back, so they must cover the whole floor and run up the walls.
