Kitchens in Cardedeu: what lies behind the old tiles
In areas such as La Creu, La Riera and El Poble-sec, where winters are cold, closed kitchens get a lot of condensation on outside walls and the grout ends up mouldy. We recommend tiling those walls in full with mould-resistant grout and checking the cooker hood outlet.
Behind the hob, in kitchens in areas such as L'Estalvi and La Granada, we recommend narrow joints with epoxy or high-performance grout, which does not absorb grease and wipes clean with a cloth. With thin porcelain or large-format tiles we keep the number of joints to a minimum.
We come to see the kitchen, check the existing tiles and help you choose format and colour; you then receive a detailed written quote, and at the end we leave the worktop and units clean. We also tile kitchens in nearby areas: Les Franqueses del Vallès, La Roca del Vallès and Llinars del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Kitchen tiling in Cardedeu: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Cardedeu, in areas such as La Creu, La Riera, El Poble-sec, L'Estalvi, La Granada, Bellavista, Les Canyes and Can Corbella, and also nearby: Les Franqueses del Vallès, La Roca del Vallès and Llinars del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Should the old tiles come off, or can you tile over them?
If the existing tiles are firm and flat, we can tile over them with a suitable adhesive. If they sound hollow or there is damp, we remove them so the problem is not carried over.
03Do the units have to come out for tiling?
Not for the splashback: we work with the units in place and protected. For full walls, it is better to tile before the kitchen is fitted.
04Which grout is easiest to keep clean?
Narrow joints with epoxy or high-performance grout repel grease and don't darken. We recommend them especially behind the hob and sink.
