Bath-to-shower conversion in Calella.
A more accessible shower in Calella without a full renovation: we swap the bath for a slimline tray, waterproof the base properly and close up the wall.

- Stepping over the edge is hard
- You hardly ever use the bath
- Worn or rusty enamel

Bath removal
We take out the bath and only the tiles we must, leaving the rest of the room intact.

Waste reworked
We reposition the waste and set the fall towards the trap or soil stack.
-
Membrane under the tray
We waterproof the base and take the membrane up the shower walls.
-
Made-to-measure tray
Non-slip resin or stone-effect tray cut to fit the space left by the bath.
-
Wall made good
We close the front with matching tiles, a wall panel or new tiling.
-
Screen and taps
Fixed or sliding screen and, if you like, a thermostatic shower column.
What we check before taking out a bath
Near the sea, in areas such as Capaspre and Les Roques, enamelled steel baths rust along the edges and mould grows behind the bath panel in the damp. Once the bath is out we clean and treat the recess, lay a waterproof membrane and seal with anti-mould silicone.
In bathrooms in areas such as Dalt de Calella, Sant Quirze and Valldengulí the waterproof membrane is the key element: it covers the whole base, runs up the shower walls and overlaps the waste so no leak reaches the flat below. We bed the tray on it with mortar or adhesive and level it with just the right fall.
Send us a photo of the bath and we will arrange a visit to check the waste and walls; you then receive a written quote with tray, screen and labour listed separately. We also convert baths in nearby areas: Pineda de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar and Sant Cebrià de Vallalta.

Frequently asked questions
01Bath-to-shower conversion in Calella: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Calella, in areas such as Capaspre, Les Roques, Dalt de Calella, Sant Quirze, Valldengulí and Quilòmetre Tres, and also nearby: Pineda de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar and Sant Cebrià de Vallalta. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Do all the bathroom tiles have to come off?
No. We remove the band of tiles around the bath and the panel at the front; the rest of the room stays if it is in good condition.
03Can the tray sit flush with the floor?
It depends on the height of the waste and the floor slab. On the visit we check whether a flush fit is possible or a low-profile tray on the floor is wiser.
04Which tray suits older people?
One with a very low edge, a non-slip surface and room for a grab rail or fold-down seat fixed to a solid wall.
