What we check before lifting the floor
On houses in residential estates in areas such as Can Segarra, Sant Sebastià and Domènec the ground floor usually rests on a slab in contact with the soil. There we lay thicker insulation and a damp-proof membrane so heat does not escape downwards.
In flats and houses in areas such as Agell de Dalt, Agell de Baix and Pla de l'Avellà we pour the screed with the circuits full and under pressure, so any damage shows at once. Movement joints go in at doorways and across large areas.
A site manager coordinates removing the old floor, the installation and the screed pour, and we leave the base clean for the tiler. We also work nearby: Argentona, Cabrils and Vilassar de Mar.

Frequently asked questions
01Underfloor heating installation in Cabrera de Mar: which areas do you cover?
We work in Cabrera de Mar in areas such as Can Segarra, Sant Sebastià, Domènec, La Creueta, Sant Joan d'Amunt, Santa Marta, Agell de Dalt and Agell de Baix, and also nearby: Argentona, Cabrils and Vilassar de Mar.
02What floor height does it take up?
A standard system adds around 8–10 cm for insulation, pipe and screed, plus the floor finish. Where height is tight, low-profile systems take up much less.
03Which floor finishes can go on top?
Ceramic and porcelain tiles transfer heat most readily. Engineered wood or vinyl rated for underfloor heating also work, at the thickness the manufacturer specifies.
04What heats the water?
A heat pump, the most efficient match because both work at low temperature, or a condensing boiler. If the unit allows it, the floor can also provide gentle cooling in summer.
