Before the parquet boxes are opened: what we measure
In houses on estates and in areas such as Can Segarra, Sant Sebastià and Domènec, where people come in straight from the garden or beach, sand scratches varnish. We suggest harder lacquers or oil finishes that can be repaired locally, and a clean transition to the terrace floor.
For floating floors in homes in areas such as Agell de Dalt, Agell de Baix and Pla de l'Avellà, the boards sit on an underlay with a vapour barrier and are left free around the edges. That gap is hidden under the skirting, with profiles at doorways so the wood can move without lifting.
