When is a lifeline needed?

  • Old or uninspected lifeline

What the installation includes

  • Roof survey

We assess the substrate, the routes and who will use the system.

  • Horizontal lifeline

Stainless steel cable with posts and a tensioner along the roof.

  • Single anchor points

Fixed points for rope access on the façade or areas with no continuous line.

  • Vertical lifeline

For fixed ladders and vertical access to the roof.

  • Leak-free fixing

Chemical or mechanical anchors to suit the substrate, with the waterproofing resealed.

  • Testing and instructions

Load test on the anchors, identification plate and user instructions.

From flat roof to pitched roof: where each anchor goes

On residential estates in areas such as Can Segarra, Sant Sebastià and Domènec, houses have pitched tiled roofs, often with solar panels. We fit ridge anchors or a line over the tiles with watertight pass-through pieces, allowing for the wind coming off the sea.

On façades in areas such as Agell de Dalt, Agell de Baix and Pla de l'Avellà we fit single anchors along the parapet for rope access work such as painting, cleaning or repairs. They are discreet, with a fold-down eye, and let ropes be rigged without relying on makeshift fixings.

A site manager coordinates the installation with the residents or owners and leaves the roof clean; before that come the visit and a detailed written quote. We also install lifelines nearby: Argentona, Cabrils and Vilassar de Mar.

Frequently asked questions

01

Lifeline and anchor installation in Cabrera de Mar: which areas do you cover?

We work in Cabrera de Mar in areas such as Can Segarra, Sant Sebastià, Domènec, La Creueta, Sant Joan d'Amunt, Santa Marta, Agell de Dalt and Agell de Baix, and also nearby: Argentona, Cabrils and Vilassar de Mar.

02

What is the difference between a lifeline and a single anchor?

A lifeline is a continuous cable that lets you move across the roof without unclipping. A single anchor is a fixed point to attach to in one specific spot, as in façade work.

03

Does a lifeline need inspecting after installation?

Yes. Manufacturers call for periodic inspection, usually once a year, and always after a fall. We can take care of those inspections.

04

Can it be fitted on a tiled or metal roof?

Yes. We use posts and fixings designed for each roof type, whether flat, tiled, metal sheet or sandwich panel, and seal every penetration to keep water out.
