Old sealant, new joint: what we check at height
Near the sea, in areas such as Nucli antic, Les Arenes and Mas d'en Pinc, strong sun and salt crack joint sealant far sooner than inland. We use UV-resistant, paintable exterior sealants and pay particular attention to sea-facing elevations.
On façades in areas such as Sa Riera, Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna, we fit foam backer rod of the right diameter so the sealant has the correct depth and bonds only to the sides. Where the joint is shallow, we use a bond-breaker tape at the back instead.
We check the joints from outside and the damp from inside, and give you a detailed written quote, per vertical drop or for the whole façade. We also seal joints in nearby areas: Palafrugell, Pals and Regencós.
